Quick Start Guide: Broadcasting Digital Signage

Are you ready to launch your first digital signage display? Whether you’re showcasing promotional content, company updates, or real-time information, this step-by-step guide will walk you through the entire process—from creating an account to seeing your content live on a screen. Start by creating your free NoviSign account on our Sign-Up Page. This will give you access to the Studio CMS, where all content is created and managed.

Once you’ve signed up, log in to your account. If you’re not automatically redirected, head over to the Login Page and sign in manually.

In your Studio CMS dashboard:

1. Upload your media files (images, videos, PDFs, etc.).

2. Create creatives—these are individual content slides or widgets that make up your signage.

3. Build a playlist by arranging multiple creatives in sequence.

4. Create a screen to link your content with a device.

Now it’s time to install the NoviSign player. This could be:

• Android

• Chrome OS player

• BrightSign

• LG webOS screen

• Samsung Tizen display

• If you’re using a Windows device, follow this installation guide.

You can download the app from:

• Google Play Store (for Android devices)

• NoviSign Download Page (for Windows or Android APK)

To get your player up and running, you need to link it to the correct screen from your Studio account. Here’s how:

1. Log in to your account from the app
   In the top-right corner of the app, enter your username and password, then click “Login.”
   Once you’re logged in, you’ll see your account name appear instead of the login fields.

2. Choose your screen (virtual display)
   Next to the “Player Key” field, click the magnifying glass icon.
   A list of all the screens you’ve created in Studio will appear.
   Simply select the screen you want this player to use — no need to type the screen key manually.

3. Start the player
   Click the “Go!” button. The app will begin downloading the content (playlist) linked to the selected screen.
   If your playlist is large, this might take a few minutes.
   Once everything is downloaded, the player will automatically start showing your content.

You can check the player’s status and get reports by logging into the Monitoring & Reports tool.
