The Web Image Widget allows you to display an image from any website by simply using its direct URL—there’s no need to upload or store the image in your NoviSign Studio account.
When a screen running the player app uses this widget, the image is downloaded and cached locally for future playback. If the image is updated on the server (for example, if its file size or last modified date changes), the player will detect this and automatically download the updated version—even if the image file name remains the same.
To add a web image to your creative:
- Find the image online that you want to display.
- Right-click on the image and select “Copy image address” or “Copy image URL” (depending on your browser).
- Log in to your NoviSign Studio account.
- Open the creative/template where you want the image to appear.
- Drag and drop the Web Image Widget onto the canvas.
- In the right-side Properties pane, look for the field labeled “Image URL”.
- Paste the copied image address into that field.
- The image will automatically appear on your canvas.
