NoviSign software solution is a basically a cloud based (SaaS) solution. The solution has mainly 4 elements which you would like to be familiar with:
The online Studio CMS (or just the “Studio” as we often call it) is the core of NoviSign’s digital signage solution. As a CMS (content management system) it users to create, manage, and broadcast cool content across their displays wherever they are located on the globe. The Studio was made to be user-friendly and simple to use, offering a bunch of features that provide efficient content creation and distribution.
The Monitoring & Reports tool — sometimes referred to as “the Reports,” “the Monitor,” or “the Dashboard” — is another important feature that allows clients to see what’s been happening with their signage players. This is actually another server that has 2 main functions:
1. To show the status of your players/screens in the last 24 hours (there are 2 elements there: the Screen Monitor and the Device Monitor);
2. To provide information and statistics of your screens, devices, media for times beyond the last 24 hours.
The Admin tool (previously called “Management Console”) is a backend tool provided to NoviSign’s partners (resellers) which allows them to manage (create, edit and delete) their users and accounts, also to customize their white label Studio, create plans, profiles, templates and more.
The player apps is a variety of applications NoviSign has for almost every possible platform (that means: operating system). We might name it as “app” or “application” or just “player”.
For instance, in case of Android devices (such as Android TV boxes, Android tablets, Android kiosks or Android smart display), the player app is in fact an APK file.
APK is the executable file for installing Android apps.
NoviSign has a player app for almost any available platform in the market: Android, Windows, Chrome OS, webOS (LG), Tizen (Samsung), BrightSign media players, Linux and also a generic HTML player app (we call it “WPlayer”) which can be run within a browser on any operating system.
