Google automatically sends verification messages like “Are you trying to sign in?” as part of its security measures, when it detects activity that requires a sign-in or when your device logs in from a new location.
These pop-ups are intended to protect your account, but they can interrupt the digital signage content running on the Android based media player. To prevent these messages from appearing during your signage display, follow the steps below.
On Your Android Device:
- Open Settings.
- Tap “Apps”.
- Tap “See All Apps”.
- Scroll down to find your installed apps list.
- Tap the three dots (top-right corner) and select Show system apps.
- For the following apps, toggle Notifications off:
- Google Play Services
- Google Account Manager
- Gmail
- Google Chrome
- Google
- Any other Google apps that may trigger notifications.
On the NoviSign App:
- Open NoviSign Settings.
- Scroll down to Restart on Inactivity.
- Ensure that Restart on Inactivity is enabled (toggled ON).
By following these steps, you can prevent interruptions and keep your digital signage running smoothly.
