Step 7: Connecting Your Screen and Player

Follow these steps to connect your screen and start displaying your content:

Choose and Set Up Your Media Player

Purchase a media player that best fits your setup. NoviSign supports a variety of platforms, including:

  • Android

  • Chrome OS

  • Windows

  • Tizen (Samsung Smart Signage Platform – SSSP)

  • BrightSign

  • WebOS (LG Digital Signage Displays)

  • Amazon Fire TV (limited use – for simple signage scenarios)

Tip: Choose the platform that matches your environment and hardware. For commercial displays, Tizen and WebOS offer built-in support without the need for external players.

Connect Your Media Player to a TV

Use an HDMI cable to connect your media player to your TV or display screen.
(Built-in smart signage displays like Tizen or WebOS do not require an external media player.)

Download the NoviSign App

Install the NoviSign media player app on your device. Use the correct version based on your platform:

Set Up the Screen in Your NoviSign Account

  1. Log in to your NoviSign account.

  2. Navigate to the “Screens” tab.

  3. Click the blue “New Screen” button.

  4. Enter a name and optional description for your screen.

  5. Select the playlist(s) you want to assign to this screen.

  6. Drag and drop the desired playlists into the screen setup.

  7. Click the red “Create” button.

Your new screen will now appear in the list of screens.

Connect the Screen Key on Your Device

  • Open the NoviSign app on your media player or smart display.

  • Enter the Screen Key using one of the following methods:

    • Manually type it in.

    • Paste it from an email sent to the device.

    • Or log in directly from the app using your NoviSign credentials (top-right corner), then click the magnifying glass icon to choose the correct screen.

Your screen will now pull content from the cloud and begin displaying your assigned playlists automatically – you’re done!
