Managing Users in NoviSign Admin Tool

Creating a New User

  1. To create a user, go to the Users tab on the left and press the + New User button.
  2. The Create User window will open.
  3. Step 1 out of 4:
    Fill out the Personal Info of the user, as well as the Login Name which will be the Username used to log-in to the Studio and Player.
    When all the information is filled in, press Next to continue with the process.
  4. Step 2 out of 4:
    In User Settings, you can choose to activate the Report Inactive, make the user an Audit User and change the Permissions of the user.
    When done, press Next to continue with the process.
  5. Step 3 out of 4:
    To Set password, you can choose to send an email to set the password or set up the password at this stage.
    When done, press Next to continue with the process.
  6. Step 4 out of 4:
    In the Setup Account, either a default account can be created or the user can be added to an existing account. In addition, a user can be added to multiple existing accounts.
    When done, press Create.

Changing a Username

It is not possible to change the Username used to log-in to the Studio.
However, it is possible to change the email associated with the user.

  1. To change the email associated with the user, open the user in the Admin tool.
  2. On the top right-hand corner, you will find an Edit User option, which will enable you to make changes to the user.
  3. Once you make the changes, press Save Changes.

Editing User details

  1. To change the details of a user, open the user in the Admin portal.
  2. On the top right-hand corner, you will find an Edit User option.
  3. This will open the editing option and enable you to make changes to the user.
  4. Once you make the changes, press Save Changes.

Entering a User’s Studio (Login Simulation)

  1. To open an end-user account, open the Admin Console, and click on the user that you want to open.
  2. Click on the Open Studio, the upper right corner of the Tab that slides in from the right.
  3. Enter your Admin password, and then click on Open Studio, in the lower right of the box.

Disable/Enable Users

  1. Open the Admin console, and click on the user you want to disable.
  2. If it is disabled and you wish to enable it, slide the bar under the user name Green means enabled, gray means disabled.

Deleting a User

NOTE:

  • DO NOT DELETE A USER UNLESS YOU 100% HAVE TO.
  • DO NOT DELETE THE USER IF IT IS THE MANAGING USER OF AN ACCOUNT, YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE USER FIRST.
  • IF HANDLED INCORRECTLY, YOU COULD DELETE ALL OF YOUR CREATIVE, PLAYLISTS AND SCREENS.

How to delete a user from the system?

  1. Open your Admin Console, and select users.
  2. Select user you wish to remove, by clicking on them, this will open a tab from the right.
  3. Click on the 3 dots in the upper right of the Open Tab, you will see a small drop down menu, select Delete User.
  4. This will ask you to confirm the deletion, but: PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS ACTION WILL DELETE ALL CONTENT THAT IS IN THIS USERS ACCOUNT.
