One of the most powerful features in our digital signage platform is scheduling. It gives you complete control over when your content plays—by date, time, and even day of the week.
How to Schedule a Creative or Playlist
Scheduling Levels & Use Cases
You can apply scheduling at different levels, depending on how you want your content to behave:
- Creative within a Playlist – control exactly when a specific creative plays (by date range, time of day, or days of the week)
- Playlist within a Screen – assign multiple playlists to a screen and control when each one is shown
Examples:
- Show one playlist on weekdays and a different one on weekends
- Display a daytime creative during business hours and switch to a nighttime creative after hours (e.g., as a screensaver)
This flexibility allows you to create dynamic and highly targeted content schedules with ease.

Scheduling Options
When scheduling a Creative or Playlist, you can choose from several flexible options depending on how and when you want your content to appear on screen:
Use this option to display your content on specific days of the week.
- Select one or multiple days (Sunday–Saturday)
- Enable Recurring play if you want the schedule to repeat continuously
- Ideal for regular weekly content like business hours, menus, or recurring announcements

Choose this option to schedule content for specific dates.
- Set a Start date and optional End date
- Use Forever if no end date is required
- Enable Yearly recurring for events that repeat annually (e.g., holidays, campaigns)

You can add more than one date range to the same Creative or Playlist.
- Click + Add date to include additional time periods
- Each date range can have its own settings
- Useful for complex schedules or split campaigns
Note: Multiple date ranges are supported only on Android players version 5.0.86 and above

Schedule Status Indicators
Once a creative is scheduled, a small clock icon overlay will appear on its thumbnail, indicating that scheduling has been applied.

If the creative is outside of its scheduled time and not currently set to play, it will be labeled as “Expired.”

These visual indicators help you quickly understand the current status of your content at a glance.
Important: Playlist vs Creative Priority:
If both a playlist and a creative inside it are scheduled:
-
The playlist schedule takes priority, since it is in a higher hierarchy.
-
For example: If a creative is set to play Monday morning, but the playlist is only scheduled for weekends, the creative won’t play on Monday.
