Screens Management

In NoviSign Studio, a Screen represents a physical display—like a smart TV (SoC display) or a monitor connected to a media player. The Screens tab is your central place for managing these screens, assigning content, and controlling playback settings remotely.

• View and Manage All Your Screens
  You’ll see a list or thumbnail view of all screens you’ve added.

• Assign Content
  Send one or more playlists to a screen.

• Group Screens
  Combine multiple screens into a group to play the same content at the same time.

• Send Configurations
  Apply predefined settings (like volume, orientation, etc.) to your screens remotely.

In List View, each screen has the following info:

• Name: Give meaningful names (e.g., “Lobby Screen”)

• Playlists: Number of playlists assigned (hover to see names)

• Screen Key: A unique ID to identify the screen

• Config: If any remote configuration is applied

• Group: Indicates if the screen belongs to a group

You can also switch to Thumbnail View, which shows previews.

• Search – Filter screens by name

• Export – Download your screens list as an Excel file

• Sort – Sort screens by name or last updated

• List/Tile View Toggle – Switch between table and thumbnail view

• +Create – Add a new screen

Hover over a screen to see these options:

• Edit – Change screen name, playlists, or settings

• Preview – View what’s currently playing

• Copy Key – Copy screen key to clipboard

• Set Configuration – Apply remote device settings

• Set Location – Choose screen’s location on a map

• Export – Download a compressed file of the screen’s content

• Delete – Remove the screen

1. Click the + Create button.

2. Name your screen and add a short description.

3. On the left, click the + icon next to playlists you want to assign.

4. Drag playlists to rearrange their order.

5. To schedule a playlist, click the calendar icon.

6. Click Create.

You’ll be returned to the main Screens tab, where you can now preview your content or copy the screen key.

If you want multiple screens to display the same content:

1. Click your username at the top right and go to Advanced Settings > Groups.

2. Click New Group.

3. Click Screens > and add the screens to this group by hovering and clicking +.

4. Click Playlists > and do the same to assign playlists.

5. Name your group and add a description.

6. Click Create.

Each screen has a unique Screen Key, which links your physical screen to the NoviSign Studio.

• You can find this key in the Screens tab via the 3-dot menu.

• On your physical signage device, either:

  • Type this key in the app manually

  • Or select the screen name from a dropdown list

This is a one-time setup per screen.
