WebOS is the exclusive operating system developed by LG.
For the digital signage displays of LG you can find it in versions 4 until version 6. The interesting thing is that LG doesn’t use this operating system over other products of them (i.e. smartphones, tablets). And more than that: during 2024 we started spotting LG displays with Android. So the future of this operating system is not certain. Maybe LG will move from webOS into Android. Time will tell.
In some locations in the world, smart displays (also called “SoC”, which means System-On-Chip) of LG (which are mostly webOS operating system based) are the only option for getting smart displays.
