Device Manager: Expanded MDM Support
Overview
NoviSign continues to expand its Device Manager and MDM (Mobile Device Management) capabilities, making it easier to manage devices remotely and reduce the need for on-site intervention.
The following device types are currently supported for remote device management, with more to be added in future updates:
- Sony Bravia TVs (new)
- Geniatech rooted players (new)
- Amazon Digital Signage (Amazon DS)
- Minix players
Remote device management is especially useful for large or distributed deployments where quick recovery, centralized control, and reduced downtime are essential.
Important:
1. Device Manager and remote MDM capabilities are a Premium feature in NoviSign.
This feature is available for accounts on the Business Plus plan and higher (including Premium and Partner plans).
2. Available on Android, WebOs, Chrome, Tizen starting from the version 6.7.5 and up.
How to Access Device Manager in Studio
Device Manager is available directly from your NoviSign Studio account menu.
To access it:

Once opened, Device Manager displays all supported devices connected to your account that are eligible for remote management.
How to Use Device Manager
No additional configuration is required beyond the standard device setup.
Once a supported device is properly connected to your NoviSign account and appears in Device Manager, you can perform available remote actions directly from NoviSign Studio.
Depending on the device type and configuration, the following actions may be available:
- Rename – Change the device name remotely for easier identification
- Set Screen – Assign or reassign the device to a specific screen
- Copy Screen Key – Copy the pairing key for quick setup or reassignment
- Restart Device – Restart the device remotely
- Mute Device – Mute or unmute the device audio
- Delete – Remove the device from the account
Note: Mute/unmute functionality is currently available for rooted and not rooted Minix and Geniatech devices and for Amazon Signage Sticks when connected to TVs with an HDMI CEC 2.0 input.
