Widgets are functional elements that bring your content to life.
As mentioned earlier, your content is built from creatives, which come in two types:
-
Simple creatives – These are single images or videos. You can’t edit them.
-
Composed creatives – These are customizable layouts that you create by clicking “New Creative” in the Creatives tab and choosing a template.
A composed creative is made up of different sections called widgets—these are your content zones.
When you open a composed creative (or create a new one), you enter the Creative Composer, which is your design workspace. It has three main parts:
-
Left pane – Your widget toolbox, where you’ll find all available widgets.
-
Middle area (canvas) – This shows your layout and is where you build your design.
-
Right pane – This displays the layout overview and the properties of any selected widget.
From the left pane, you can drag and drop widgets onto the canvas. Once on the canvas, you can move and resize them as needed. You can also adjust their settings and behaviors using the properties pane.
Each widget serves a different purpose. Some common examples include:
-
Text
-
Image
-
Video
-
Slideshow
